The new Retail Price Index Advisory Committee as announced in the Government Gazette dated 10 January 2025.
We are pleased to announce the new formation of the Retail Price Index Advisory Committee for the next three years with effect from the 2nd December 2024.
The Committee shall continue to be led by Dr Carl Camilleri who presently occupies the role of Chairman of the Malta Statistics Authority.
The committee welcomes two new members to its ranks in Mr Simon Bugeja and Mr Andrew Aquilina.
Mr Simon Bugeja is an Economist serving as a Director of Macroeconomic Policy Analysis with the Economic Policy Department a branch of the Ministry for Finance.
Mr Andrew Aquilina is one of the Maltese business community representatives sitting on this committee. Mr Aquilina occupies the post of Chief Operating Officer at the Malta Chamber of Small Medium Enterprises.
