Dr. Carl Camilleri is the Head of the Department of Economics, which forms part of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy of the University of Malta.
With over 15 years of academic experience, Dr. Camilleri has lectured extensively in areas such as econometrics, applied macroeconomics, health economics, and the economics of ageing and pensions.
Before joining academia, he held the position of Senior Economist within the Economic Policy Division at Malta’s Ministry of Finance. In this role, he was primarily responsible for macroeconomic forecasting and for the modelling and analysis of pension reform systems within the Maltese economy.
Dr. Camilleri holds a Master of Science in Econometrics from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London, and earned his PhD in Economics from City University London in 2015.
